Baking My Way….Again!!
Whoa! Where has the time gone, and where have I been?
It has been nearly a year since I have posted a blog or baking blog. What can I say except, yeah, Covid-19 latched onto me, and I allowed it to do so. After a few years in the pandemic, we experienced our setbacks and frustrations. This world isn’t new territory any longer. I allowed it to stop me in my tracks and began to doubt many aspects of my day-to-day life. So, I stopped keeping up with my baking blog, I didn’t share any other musings, I didn’t share playlists, and I retired from teaching yoga. YEP!!!! The Covid f-ed my reality up, or maybe I allowed it to happen. Either way, I AM BACK!!
Update #1
I didn’t complete my genius desserts book challenge, but I did get 90% of the way through the book. It’s one of my favorite cookbooks. I have gone back so many times, and it is a magnificent book.
On another note, I have been deeply into Claire Saffitz’s book Dessert Person too. So if you haven’t bought that one, either grab it too.
Update #2
I am not entirely ready to retire from coaching life transformation and yoga. I kept saying that I was semi-retired because I am still available for any private sessions, but maybe I said this because I never wanted to retire completely. So, where am I going now? I am working on launching a coaching and movement program. Hopefully, you can be a part of that ;-)
Update#3
Wow, this has been a rough mental health year. I have struggled through the loss of self, family issues, and crazy anxiety. Plus, I’m pretty sure I may be pre-menopausal. UGH! This is why you haven’t seen nor heard anything from me. But I have started listening to my body, mind, and doctors, and now I feel moderately normal.
What does all this mean?
It means I am beginning another cookbook challenge. I am very excited to start another challenge. I need this. I need something to plan in my week, which makes me proud. I love baking, and I love sharing it with everyone.
The big question is, what book will I be baking my way through. I received this one quite a while ago and have made a few things, but I have so many recipes tagged in the book and thought, why not make them all.
Baking with Dorie by Dorie Greenspan!!! This book excites me. It will be superb with chapters like Breakfast, Cakes, Too Perfect Little Pastries, and Salty Side Up. I look forward to sharing this book with you and my family and friends. It will simply be the best.
Keep your eyes peeled for my Instagram and blog posts.
P.S - Grateful Groove playlists will be returning too.
Much Love and Joy to You,
