My Journey
Empowerment, Accessibility and Inspiration.
I began practicing yoga when my youngest son was 3 years old. I was invited to a yoga class by a friend, who was a yoga teacher, and with that began MY yoga journey. While my son was in pre-school I took yoga and soon I met a fellow mom who invited me to a class at a yoga studio in Lancaster PA. I began attending classes at Evolution Power Yoga, and began to see that I had a power within me that was deeper than I had ever imagined.
Through attending their classes, workshops, and self-reflection programs, I was able to unlock the power within me and connect my love for the practice of yoga with contribution to my community. In 2011, I completed my 200hr certification in yoga, and began teaching for Evolution Power Yoga in York PA.
Nine years later, I have experienced transformation in my Self through, leading yoga classes, workshops and trainings, completeing multiple yoga trainings and intensives, and participating in many programs in Self study and improvement.
Beginning in 2019, I started to look at myself as more than a yoga teacher and step out into new possibilities. An exciting opportunity to co-lead a yoga retreat in Bali, was offered to me and I didn’t even hesitate to say “Yes”. As well, I joined a community new to me, Mind Tribes, by participating in 2 rounds of the Declare and Deliver program. Through these opportunities and my willingness to step out of my comfort zone my life has been transfromed.
I am now pleased to move into the next phase of my life, shifting from the sole identity of yoga teacher and mom, into a Community Leader, Group Facilitator, Inspirational Coach and Purveyor of Nourishment.
My offerings have opportunities for students to challenge themselves in their yoga practice and in their life. I believe that family and community are the keys to finding joy and ease in life. I understand that no two bodies and minds are alike and will work with you to find what that suits your needs.
“ I teach yoga because of my students. I love to see the possibilities within them, and the transformations within their journey. My community inspires me! I aspire to see my students walk out of a class living in joy, fulfillment, empowered and with love. Ultimately I live to leave you inspired to imagine a world full of new possibilities, with an adventurous spirit. ”
What People Are Saying
“
I've had the immense pleasure to collaborate with Stacy in a number of different capacities. I've served as a mentor and mindful performance coach to her in a number of programs. The joy of working alongside Stacy, though, has been in witnessing her process as she coaches, mentors, and leads others. What makes Stacy such an authentic & effective leader is her innate ability to lean into discomfort, challenge her assumptions, and dramatically expand in the process. She is a shining example of what's possible when devotion meets a life-long commitment to learning.”

“
As a past Olympic weightlifter, martial artist, skier and mountain biker, it'‘s safe to say that I was only interested in extreme sports/activities. Then years ago, Stacy Hammel introduced me to yoga. Vinyas, Aerial, Restorative and Yin have not only improved my balance, breathing and inner ability to relax but she has also helped me to work through many of my injuries. It is Stacy’s passion for the art of yoga that has truly changed a deep love for it for me as well. Yoga is now part of my every day life.

“
Stacy is a coach for magical windows of opportunities. I had difficulty navigating a challenging conversation to be had with a colleague. She provided a solid foundation on which to build connections and deepen relationships in the face of adversity or being uncomfortable. Stacy helps awaken the parts of me that needed tending, so I could live big, radically honest and open life.

“
Stacy completely transformed the way in which yoga showed up in my life. Before taking classes with her, yoga was something I showed up for occasionally. I saw it as a good way to stretch my sore muscles, nothing more. Now, years later, yoga is as integral to my life as are air and water. By embodying more than just the physical practice of yoga, by sequencing intentional yoga classes, and by becoming a mentor, she opened my eyes to what yoga has to offer. Stacy is passionate about what she does, and it shows. It was that passion and intentionality that drew me to her as a yoga teacher. I honed my practice, learning not just how to move, but how to breathe and how to integrate yoga into my life; and then I honed it even more when I undertook 1-on-1 yoga sessions with her. She is truly an artist, with yoga as her medium—and the world becomes more colorful, authentic, and mindful when her influence ripples out to all those around her.
